Life has not been easy for Gatsby. Rescued as a young cat from an abusive home, he found solace with a loving owner in 2018. For nearly eight years, he thrived alongside feline companions and enjoyed the security he so desperately needed. Tragically, his journey took another turn in April 2026, when he lost his beloved owner after a long battle with cancer. Now at Safe Haven, Gatsby is waiting for a new beginning. Despite his past, Gatsby is one of the sweetest cats imaginable. As soon as you enter his room, he lights up and rushes over to greet you. He adores being adored, enjoys interactive playtime (especially with wand toys), and loves quiet cuddle sessions and peaceful naps. He's never shown aggression towards people or animals and gets along beautifully with other cats. While he shares a special bond with former housemate Cinnamon, Gatsby is ready to thrive in a loving home on his own. He does have a manageable urinary condition that requires a special diet and simple output monitoring but no medication. Gatsby is best suited for a family with respectful children and adults who appreciate his loving nature and gentle play style.
