About Quinne

Quinne (DOB 2023) is a stunning blue-eyed feline with a story of resilience and second chances. She was surrendered to Safe Haven during a medical emergency her caregiver could not afford to deal with, Quinne received immediate lifesaving care once in the hands of Safe Haven. Against all odds, she made a full recovery after several days in the ICU department of the hospital. She would not have survived without the quick action of the shelter and emergency vet. This truly special girl is now thriving and ready to find a forever home where she can be cherished and loved. Quinne is the true definition of a “velcro cat” - she absolutely loves being near her people and will happily seek out affection whenever she can, joyfully jumping on your lap for pets. This sweet girl thrives on human connection and will quickly become your constant, loving companion. She’s also playful and fun, especially when it comes to wand toys, catnip toys, and balls. Quinne loves to toss her toys up in the air and entertain herself, making her just as delightful to watch as she is to cuddle. She also enjoys treats in moderation since she does need to shed a few pounds. Quinne is a confident and adaptable cat who settles in easily and doesn’t need a designated “safe space”, however she has claimed an office area where she goes to unwind and relax. She’s comfortable wherever her people are, though she does enjoy her quiet space - she’d much rather be by your side. Because of her past medical experience, Quinne will do best in a calm, low-stress home where she can continue to thrive. She would be happiest as the only pet. Quinne is best suited for an adult home - perhaps with a retiree or homebody who can give her the attention she craves. Respectful older children may also be a good fit. Quinne is ready to leave her past behind and start her next chapter. If you’re looking for a devoted, loving companion, she would be the perfect match for you! Note: Due to Quinne’s medical condition which resulted from a blocked colon, she requires a daily medication called Cisapride to keep her digestive system on track. Quinne may take a little time to adjust to the new routine, but once she knows what to expect, she handles her medication with ease and cooperation. Quinne will be adopted out as a “Medically Assisted” adoption which means Safe Haven will cover the costs of her medication. This should not affect her long term health. Quinne is currently in Foster Care in Wells and her adoption visits will be hosted in the home of Foster.
