About Taco
Meet Taco! This spirited four-year-old Labrador Retriever/Shepherd mix is currently in Spearfish, SD. With his sunny tan coat and joyful personality, Taco lights up every room he enters. He’s affectionate, energetic, and endlessly curious, always finding ways to bring smiles and laughter to those around him. Taco enjoys off-leash walks, chasing thrown rocks, and searching for chipmunks, all while staying close to his favorite humans. His enthusiasm for play is contagious! Taco is well-trained and knows how to sit, stay, come, and more. He thrives on routine and loves outdoor adventures, making him a great fit for an active family. Although he’s learned to manage his separation anxiety through patient training, he does need experienced pet parents who understand resource guarding, as he has displayed conflicts with other dogs in the home. Outside, he’s friendly with dogs and enjoys socializing, but he would do best as the only pet in a calm environment. Compatible with older, respectful children, Taco prefers a home free from toddlers. He may bark or growl at sudden movements or strangers, so gentle introductions will help him adjust comfortably. Taco is house-trained, neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. Could this lovable boy be the adventure companion you’ve been searching for? Click apply to start the adoption process.
