At 55 pounds, Lena thrives on companionship and believes life is better shared. She enjoys cozy movie nights, long neighborhood walks, and sunny afternoons soaking up warmth. Her playful spirit comes alive as she hunts lizards in the yard, but when the day winds down, nothing makes her happier than curling up next to her favorite people. This smart girl has completed formal obedience training and knows commands like sit, stay, and down. Lena is house-trained, crate-trained, microchipped, spayed, and up to date on her vaccinations. She does take a daily allergy medication and can handle short periods alone. One of her most endearing traits is the shift between her playful energy and her desire to cuddle. Family friends who earn her trust quickly find out just how affectionate and loyal she can be. However, Lena does have specific behavioral needs. She has a history of resource guarding around food, treats, and toys, as well as past conflicts with other dogs. Because of this, she needs an adult-only home with experienced pet parents who understand resource guarding and dog reactivity. Lena must be the only pet in the household, giving her the space to relax without competition. While she may be cautious with unfamiliar people, she rewards those who are patient with a deep and loyal bond.
