About Honey
Honey has shown remarkable perseverance since arriving at the rescue. After experiencing stress from her previous home and having a one-time seizure, she is now thriving due to the love and care from her foster family. A full blood panel revealed perfectly normal results, easing any worries about her health. Today, she is undergoing spaying at Hammer Lane Veterinary Hospital. Honey has also received her rabies vaccine and DAPP, plus she is microchipped. At 7.5 lbs, this 4-year-old female Chihuahua has won over her foster mom’s heart. Smart and capable, she has mastered the doggie door and prefers to do her business outside, though she occasionally needs a little encouragement to venture out in cold or rainy weather. A big cuddle bug, Honey enjoys snuggling on the couch and will follow you around until she’s ready to rest with you in bed. She thrives in a peaceful home environment, as she tends to get overwhelmed and may lick her lips when stressed, although this is just a quirk and not linked to any discomfort. Honey gets along well with other dogs but significantly prefers human companionship. Though she hasn’t met any cats yet, with a proper introduction, she should adapt well. Honey is crate trained but would rather sleep snuggled up with her human. She happily sleeps through the night. Best suited for a single, less active person, she enjoys quiet evenings watching Netflix rather than vigorous outdoor activities. If you think you could be the perfect match for Honey, don’t hesitate to apply.
