Baconator, also known as Apollo, has a story reminiscent of many sweet dogs searching for their forever homes. After being adopted as a puppy, he faced some changes in his family life when a new baby arrived, leading to his recent surrender at a city shelter. Thankfully, his microchip connected him back to Big Bones Canine Rescue, and they quickly brought him into their care. Now at 2.5 years old, he remains as adorable as ever. Apollo has house manners and knows basic commands, but he does exhibit some signs of separation anxiety. He can bark and howl when left alone and has shown some destructive behaviors in his crate, although he is well-behaved when allowed to roam freely. Therefore, he would benefit from a home with another dog or one willing to commit to training. With a friendly demeanor, he gets along well with both children and other dogs, and his cat test showed he’s indifferent to felines. This charming 47 lb ball of joy is ready to find his "THE" home.
