Meet Fitz, a spirited and charming 7-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing about 10 pounds. Despite missing one eye, it never dampens his enthusiasm for life. Each day begins with his delightful curiosity and personality that’s bound to win you over. Fitz has a few adorable quirks that will brighten up your day. Before he leaps onto the couch, he takes a moment to gather his courage, making the cutest jump you’ll ever see. He also gives a little shimmy every morning, reminiscent of an Elvis performance, ready to start his day. Fitz is quite the homebody, showing a particular fondness for TV—especially soccer games. He enjoys snuggling up with you to cheer on his favorites. Affectionate and loyal, Fitz loves being by your side whether you're at home, in the car, or strolling around the yard. While he enjoys his walks, he doesn’t require long outings to be happy; a cozy couch and cuddles are what he dreams of. Fitz has adapted wonderfully to his foster environment. He is house-trained and sleeps through the night without accidents. Consistent potty breaks will help him adjust further into a new home. Although he may not always signal when he needs to go, he is learning the ropes quickly. He has integrated well with the Labrador in his foster home and is friendly with everyone he meets. While he would thrive as your sole companion, he is also open to sharing his space with another respectful dog. Due to his limited vision on one side, he would thrive in a home with older, understanding children. Fitz may need a bit of patience while being picked up, but once in your arms, he enjoys every moment of cuddling. This sweet and gentle boy is ready to swap his foster life for a loving forever home where his little hops and snuggles can fill your heart. His adoption fee is set at a minimum of $200, plus a $15 rabies registration fee for McLean County residents.
