About Dorothy
Dorothy is a 12-year-old, small chiweenie who has bounced back after coming to the rescue in rough shape. She’s a gentle, quiet companion who prefers keeping close to family, soaking up pets, lounging on laps, and dozing the afternoon away. Dorothy enjoys her daily morning walks and stroller rides, taking in the world with curiosity—her senior visual impairment rarely gets in her way. She has a manageable heart murmur that’s controlled with medication. While Dorothy isn’t yet house trained, she’s affectionate and adapts well indoors, thriving in a calm home environment. She gets along with both dogs and cats, making her a flexible fit for many households. Dorothy’s adoption fee is fully sponsored (residents of McLean County pay only a small rabies registration fee). She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and is on regular flea and heartworm preventatives. Ready to welcome a devoted, mellow older dog into your life?
