About Carter
Meet Carter! Carter is a gentle, 10-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix weighing around 50 pounds, and he deserves a forever home. Recently adopted and cherished, he found himself back in search of a family due to his previous adopter’s health issues. While currently boarding, Carter is ready for his second chance at a loving home where he can thrive. House-trained, leash-trained, and crate-trained, he gets along well with children and has happily spent time at doggy daycare with multiple dogs. Although he enjoys socializing, Carter might prefer to be the only dog at home, where he can soak up all the affection. He does not do well with cats. Carter has a bit of arthritis in his hips, so he’s not up for long hikes but loves games of fetch and relaxing in a fenced yard. He adores being cozy, often wearing his sweater, and enjoys curling up under blankets after playtime. This sweet boy can be shy at first, but he opens up with trust, displaying his affectionate side. Carter also rides well in the car and is looking for someone who appreciates quieter moments. Having lost his home through circumstances beyond anyone's control, he is eager for stability and love. If you seek a loyal, mellow companion, Carter is ready for you.
