AvailableHayzel is a 4-year-old female Doberman Pinscher, weighing in at a large size. She boasts a beautiful coat that showcases red and tan hues. House trained and altered, she’s also up to date with her vaccinations. Living in Sandown, NH, she is ready for a loving home.
About Hayzel
Hayzel came to DRU after her family faced a significant life change. They made the tough decision to surrender her when they moved to an apartment, knowing she thrives in a space where she can stay active and happy. A securely fenced backyard would be her ideal play area, giving her room to run and enjoy life to the fullest. This energetic girl loves being with her people. Her preferred activities include running in the yard, playing fetch, and engaging in tug-of-war. Whether chasing a ball or lounging outdoors, Hayzel is happiest when she’s actively included in family fun. Previously, she got along well with both male and female dogs, enjoys the company of adults and older children, and has been comfortable meeting new people. While she can be left alone at home, she does pull on the leash during walks, so ongoing training will enhance her walking skills. An incident was reported where Hayzel nipped an 11-year-old child who startled her while she was sleeping. It was noted as an isolated occurrence, and teaching children to respect a dog’s space is crucial. Hayzel isn't particularly fond of car rides, making a family that travels less a better fit.
