About Kira And Koda
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Meet Kira and Koda! Kira and Koda’s world changed dramatically with the loss of one of their beloved owners, and as their remaining owner struggled with this new reality, it was decided—out of love—that DRU would be the place to help them find their next chapter. These bonded Doberman Pinscher siblings, turning three years old in May, have always had each other’s company, and their ideal home is one willing to keep them together. A family experienced with Dobermans will be best suited to understand their needs and guide them forward. At over 85 pounds each, Kira brings a lively energy, while Koda is known for his easygoing nature. Both dogs walk well on leash individually and have shown nothing but affection to staff, though Koda, having a high prey drive and some dog reactivity, would thrive with a confident handler. Homes with older children who can respect large, strong dogs would be most suitable given their size and temperament. Kira is scheduled for her spay, and Koda has recently been neutered. These two have known much love, and finding a home where they stay together and continue to thrive is DRU’s mission. Kira and Koda are waiting for a family to help make their dreams real.
