About Bear
Meet Bear! This gentle and sweet Shar-Pei is currently in foster care in Lake Forest, CA, and he’s ready to become someone's cherished companion. In his foster home, Bear has shown himself to be an absolute joy. He handled his first bath like a champ, standing proud the whole time. Bear is comfortable with being touched and takes it all in stride. On walks, he trots confidently on a harness, displaying a proud little strut. Bear enjoys playtime too. A ball keeps him entertained, whether he’s kicking it around himself or playing fetch with you. Chew sticks are also a favorite. He has built a strong bond with one of his foster dads and prefers companionship; being left alone isn’t his style, though he settles down with time. Once Bear drifts off to sleep, he enjoys deep and restful slumbers. He's still adjusting to his new surroundings and is learning to embrace certain noises, like squeaky toys. Quiet for the most part, he’s been vocal during fireworks but is working on his barking habits. Bear is still figuring out his new life but his gentleness, trust, and eagerness to bond make it clear that he’ll bring happiness to any home. Ready to make Bear your new best friend? Apply now!
