About Tansy
Tansy is in search of a foster-to-adopt home while she completes her heartworm treatment. This sweet young girl has a remarkable ability to give hugs and enjoys cuddling with her friends at the shelter. She loves sniffy walks and is eager to take on tasks that engage her nose, making her quite enthusiastic during walks. Toys and treats make her especially happy, and she's quick to learn new commands, thanks to her food motivation. While Tansy can be shy around unfamiliar people, she seems to prefer young adults. This hound has a hearty howl, so a quieter living situation might be best for her; apartment life could be challenging due to her vocal nature. Though Tansy keeps her kennel clean, she has occasionally had accidents at night. With patience and positive reinforcement, she can learn appropriate potty habits. Individuals with children may need to look elsewhere, as Tansy is not suited for such homes. At this stage, fostering involves providing a tranquil, low-activity environment and lots of love as she recovers. Medical treatment will be provided through the shelter. Tansy currently needs to be the only dog in the home until her health improves. Ready to make a difference in Tansy's life? Click apply to start the adoption process.
