Meet the one and only Scrumps! Transferred from Milwaukee, this big Mastiff mix immediately won over staff and volunteers in Neenah. Scrumps is all about energetic play—he’s goofy, lively, and happiest bouncing around with young, playful female dogs that can keep up with "rough and tumble." If there’s a stuffy toy nearby, Scrumps will proudly carry it around, eager to show it off. Beyond his puppy antics, he thrives on human attention and loves being the center of affection. Walks are another favorite, especially when he can take his time to sniff everything and maybe snack on a bit of snow. He’s making great progress with leash manners, though he’s still prone to pulling when something exciting catches his eye. Scrumps travels well in the car and seems to keep his kennel tidy, always arranging his blankets and toys just so. He’s quick to learn new commands—"sit" is coming along nicely—and he’s eager for more training. While staff are still gauging his full house-training habits, he’s showing promising signs. A home with older kids who respect his size and zoomie bursts is ideal. He might do well with another young, energetic female dog but hasn’t taken to male dogs so far. His response to cats remains to be seen.
