About Bart
Meet Bart! Bart is a 7-year-old, 10-pound Shih Tzu who needs a patient family to help him see that life has plenty of joy to offer. He’s a bit timid and cautious, but each day, he finds new strength. In just a week, Bart has started to warm up and has taken comfort in following his dog buddy, Ricky, everywhere he goes. Ricky is his safety net in this new world. One of Bart's unique quirks is the adorable little army crawl he does to greet you. It’s his delightful way of saying, "I’m happy you’re back," and it’s hard not to smile when you witness it. Bart is still working on leash walking, so he needs a family that can go at his pace and celebrate small achievements. He’s doing well with potty training and generally accepts his crate as long as it has a comfy bed. Bart is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations appropriate for his age. Currently, he’s being fostered in Greenville, SC. Think you could be the perfect fit for Bart? Apply to adopt today!
