About Cooper

Cooper is a gentle senior shepherd seeking a loving and patient home where he can overcome his shyness. This sweet boy often takes a little time to warm up, but those who have spent time with him know just how charming he can be. Once he feels comfortable, his loving and intelligent nature really shines through. He particularly enjoys leisurely walks and has an appreciation for the quieter, more refined aspects of life. Although Cooper was previously surrendered due to not getting along with some other dogs, he has since made many canine friends at the Humane Educational Society. He loves spending time in play groups and gets along with dogs of all sizes and energy levels as long as they’re not too overwhelming. While he can thrive in a multi-dog household, he would also do well as the only dog as long as his human allows him time to decompress. Cooper would thrive in a calm, laid-back environment where he can learn to feel secure. Take your time with him, and you’ll likely find a wonderful companion in Cooper!
