About Walter
Walter is a 2-year-old male Great Dane with stunning brindle coloring. This gentle giant was rescued from a tough situation when his previous owner, amidst a divorce, decided to surrender him instead of having him euthanized. Thankfully, a caring vet's office reached out to a foster volunteer, giving Walter a second chance. In his temporary foster home, Walter proved to be a great companion. He got along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, visiting children, and even cats. Already house trained, he’s now learning to relax in a crate and walk on a leash. Unlike his namesake from Grumpy Old Men, Walter is a joyful spirit ready for adventure. He thrives on road trips, eagerly jumping in the back of a Jeep to explore new sights. Walter's name, with its roots meaning "Commander of the Army," fits him perfectly. He is reliable and well-mannered, knowing how to sit and stay out of trouble when you’re away. This special boy needs a home that’s experienced with giant breeds. Apply now to welcome this commanding companion into your life!
