About Stella
Stella is a seven-year-old black and white Great Dane looking to be the star in your life. Her name means celestial star, and it’s fitting—Stella shines at house manners, walks calmly on leash, and relaxes well in her crate. She’s already mastered commands like sit, paw, down, crate, leave it, and drop it. In the home, Stella is reliable and doesn’t disturb your belongings. She serves as your personal alert system, barking to let you know about visitors or anyone arriving, and she’s always ready for a car adventure to see where the road leads. In her previous home, Stella lived with two small dogs and got along well, though her feelings toward cats and children haven’t been seen yet. Stella has had her share of medical challenges, including longstanding ear infections and skin allergies that led to her owners making the difficult choice to surrender her. She’s undergone necessary ear surgery and has adapted well, now enjoying her days again. She prefers to eat separate from other dogs and is not keen on thunderstorms. Squeaky toys and peanut butter treats keep her happy, and she’s slowly rediscovering the joys of life. Stella recently received a heart health check and has very mild valve disease, not requiring any medication—just monitoring every 6-12 months. She’s eligible for a reduced senior adoption fee thanks to the Golden Rewards Program. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.

Questions about Stella
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Great Danes like Stella thrive in a home with plenty of space to stretch out, preferably with a large, soft bed or couch. They do best in houses rather than apartments due to their size.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Stella, as a Great Dane, benefits from a securely fenced yard where she can move comfortably but doesn't require excessive outdoor time. Short play sessions or daily walks are enough for her activity level.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Great Danes are generally gentle and can be good with children if properly introduced. Stella hasn’t met kids in her current setting, so careful supervision and gradual introductions are recommended.
