About Opal
Meet Opal, an enchanting 8-month-old Cane Corso. Though she's not yet reached her full size, which will be over 90 pounds, she's already a gentle giant. With a sweet temperament, Opal craves companionship, preferring to be where the humans are. She may not fit comfortably on your lap at 55 pounds, but your lap is exactly where she wants to be. At heart, Opal is a couch potato, but she enjoys short bursts of energy with playful zoomies in the yard and loves unstuffing toys. Currently in foster care, she shares her space with cats and chickens and shows promise in living harmoniously alongside them, especially with a gentle approach. Opal might take time to warm up to new environments and people, responding best to patience and understanding. Once comfortable, her playful and affectionate nature shines. Opal is nearly house trained, learning basic commands, and walks well on a leash. While she can stay in a crate for short periods, she prefers snuggling at your feet or on the bed. She's agile and can jump over shorter fences, so a large, securely fenced yard is essential. Opal would flourish in a calm home and would be a wonderful office companion, given a cozy spot and a chew toy. We prefer adopters with experience in large breeds. Opal is currently in foster care in Mead, CO. Be prepared to come to Colorado to adopt her—transporting dogs isn't an option. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
