Meatloaf
AvailableMeatloaf is a large, adult, neutered male guessed to be a Cane Corso mix with a short black, white, and brown coat. He is house trained and up to date on vaccinations. Meatloaf currently resides in Longmont, CO, and he's known for his big, friendly presence and eagerness to learn.
About Meatloaf
Meatloaf is the definition of a gentle giant. This big, blocky-headed guy sets the tone with his soft eyes and easy presence. Thought to be a Cane Corso and pit mix, he is a young adult—likely between 1 and 2 years old—without much real-world experience yet, which shows most in his need for basic guidance and structure. He’s eager to please, open-hearted with people, and craves both attention and cuddles. His foster says he’s a calm, willing learner who picks up on routines quickly. Meatloaf is already making progress on crate training and leash manners. Dog interactions are a highlight: he gets along with all sizes in the foster home, plays well, and shows real joy in canine company. Around cats, he’s curious but doesn’t get stirred up; on-leash introductions with chickens and farm animals have gone smoothly, and he doesn’t have a high prey drive. He’s all about companionship. Because he’s so large—and still so puppyish—he’s best for homes without small children, just to avoid accidental knockdowns. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!

Questions about Meatloaf
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Meatloaf, as a Cane Corso/pit mix, thrives in a home with space to move and people who enjoy a big companion. A suburban or rural home with a yard works best, but he's adaptable if given exercise and attention.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Dogs like Meatloaf benefit from a fenced yard where they can stretch their legs, but regular walks and playtime will keep him happy even if outdoor space is limited.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Meatloaf is gentle at heart, but due to his size and youthful exuberance, he can easily knock over small children. He is best suited to homes with older kids who are comfortable around large dogs.
