About Luna
Are you looking for a gentle giant who brings love and loyalty in spades? Luna, a 2-year-old Cane Corso weighing in at 130 pounds, is every bit the big-hearted companion her looks promise. Her blue coat and steady presence make her hard to miss. She came into rescue after a rough patch and needs a confident, experienced owner who gets her breed’s quirks and strengths. Luna can be timid in new situations but warms up quickly with kindness and routine. She comes alive around people, especially older kids, and genuinely enjoys being part of a family when given a chance to bond. Luna is happiest as the center of attention—she’ll thrive as the only pet but might settle in with a chill, submissive male dog who matches her easygoing style. Cats and small animals aren’t a fit for her. She is house trained, crate trained, and knows her basic commands—though sometimes you’ll find her doing things her way. Luna is still working on leash walking, but a steady hand and a little patience will help her improve. She’s playful when relaxed, loves games like fetch and tug, and will surprise you with a few fun, goofy moves. Luna recently underwent TPLO surgery and is healing from a tibia fracture; she’s currently on medical hold as she recovers but is eager for visits and interest from adopters with giant breed experience. Fun fact: with her May 23 birthday, Luna is a Gemini—expect curiosity, adaptability, and plenty of personality. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
