About Charlie
Charlie is settling in well at DARE and has a playful spirit. This personable 13-year-old wakes up each day full of enthusiasm, eager to explore the outdoors and chase after squirrels while keeping an eye out for tortoises. Charlie thrives in an environment where he can be the only dog or live with small dogs and cats, as he's not fond of larger canine companions. This affectionate guy loves curling up with his humans, whether that's in bed or in his crate, and is both house-trained and crate-trained. He enjoys leisurely walks on a leash, with plenty of time for sniffing. While Charlie is generally friendly—getting along well with kids and other pets—he does experience some anxiety during thunderstorms. A calm, reassuring space helps him feel most secure. With his zest for life and loving nature, Charlie is ready for a soft spot to call home during his golden years. If you believe Charlie is the pup for you, consider submitting your adoption application and letting him find his forever family!
