About Luca LONGTIME RESIDENT
Luca is a 12-week-old Shepherd mix looking for a loving home. He arrived at the Kern County Animal Services - Bakersfield Shelter on June 11, 2026, and has been patiently waiting for someone to take him home. This little guy has a charming black and white coat and a playful attitude that’s typical for puppies his age. Currently, he is not house trained and hasn't been altered yet, but he’s ready to learn. Though he has not been around kids or other pets at the shelter, Shepherd mixes often thrive in family environments. Given the shelter’s overcrowding, adopting Luca means you'll be giving him a fresh start. Companion Animal Protection Society (CAPS) partners with the shelter to find homes for dogs at risk of euthanasia, making your adoption even more impactful. If you’re looking to welcome a new member into your family, consider bringing Luca home. Your new best friend is just one click away. Click apply to start the adoption process!
