About Baka
Meet Baka, a delightful 1-year-old Great Dane with a heart as big as her paws. Born on May 24, 2025, she comes to you with a playful spirit reminiscent of a puppy. Baka is searching for a family that can give her the time she needs to adjust—about two weeks to settle into a new routine while she continues her anxiety medication. This affectionate girl loves to lounge with her head resting in your lap and has a talent for mischief; she's figured out how to open lever-style door handles at her foster home. Baka enjoys playing in a fenced yard, especially with sticks, and is learning to trust her surroundings, thanks to the care she’s received since being rescued from a puppy mill. She thrives on building bonds and does best as the only dog in a home where she can soak up all the attention. While she's good with other dogs, her playful nature and prey drive mean she wouldn’t be suitable for homes with cats or small animals. Due to her size and exuberance, a home without small children is preferred. Baka is making excellent strides in crate training and is already familiar with the command "Kennel Up." Her future family will need patience and understanding as she adapts to her new environment. Once settled, Baka becomes an incredibly loyal companion wanting nothing more than to be by your side. If you're prepared to offer this gentle giant the love and time she deserves, Baka can't wait to meet you! Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and let's get started.
