About Mia
Mia, a stunning young Great Dane, is expected to grow into her extra-large frame—likely topping out around 125 pounds. She started off a bit timid, which could be partly inherited or the result of not getting out much as a puppy. Since arriving, she's slowly building confidence, but her new family will need to keep helping her adjust and socialize. Mia gets along beautifully with other dogs, playing gently even with much smaller friends, though she’s probably too much for the tiniest toy breeds. She lived with cats before and mostly wanted to play, which the cats weren’t thrilled about. Mia’s comfortable with children aged seven months to twelve years, but like many big Danes, she could accidentally bump little kids over without meaning to. Fully house trained, Mia quickly picked up the dog door routine and lets you know when she's ready to come inside. She enjoys car rides and usually wants to be near her people—classic Dane behavior, always leaning on a favorite human. Mia loves to fetch, brings the ball back every time, and is gentle on her toys, never destroying stuffed animals. She gets the basics on leash, though as she grew, it became harder for her original owner to manage her walks, especially in bad weather. Mia will thrive in a home with experience in giant breeds and the space—and patience—to let her keep growing into the amazing dog she’s meant to be. Make her next adventure start with you. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
