Athena is looking for her forever home through PAWS New England. She joined the rescue after being brought in by one of our valued partners. Her brother, Zeus, found his home last year, and now it's Athena's time to shine. This charming girl has mastered the art of sad eyes, giving the impression she's carrying the weight of the world—though she’s really just a playful pup enjoying her time in foster care. At first, she may be a bit shy, preferring to observe before diving in, which most can relate to. However, as she settles in, her lively personality begins to emerge. Athena is exceptionally well-mannered, listens closely, and is generally a joy to have around. While she appreciates good company, she knows how to set boundaries and will let her foster brother know when it’s time for personal space. Athena loves playing and is gentle with her toys. She's a friend to every human she meets, and she especially adores children, happily showering them with sweet kisses. A delightful quirk of Athena’s is her habit of grooming herself like a cat, showing her commitment to personal hygiene. She's affectionate, playful, and just the right amount of opinionated. Once Athena warms up to you, those sad eyes will be a distant memory, revealing her true happy self.
