About Bucky
Meet Bucky, a charming Pit Bull/Lab mix in search of his forever home. At about 1.5 years old and weighing around 55 pounds, this sweet guy has already had quite a journey. He spent over three months at the Merced Animal Shelter before entering foster care. Sadly, Bucky underwent an amputation on his front right leg, but his resilience shines through. He's adapted to life as a tri-pod and enjoys short walks and car rides to the park, refusing to let anything hold him back. As a foster, Bucky has proven to be an excellent house guest. He appears fully house trained with only a few minor accidents. He adores toys and loves to scatter them around the house, and he’s non-destructive, always checking for any leftover food. At night, he settles in quietly on his dog bed and sleeps soundly. Bucky is also making strides in crate training, showing significant improvement. Bucky has demonstrated friendliness towards both dogs and cats and currently lives with another dog, who he closely follows and imitates throughout the day. He would thrive in a home with an existing canine companion. Bucky is eagerly awaiting a loving family to call his own. Your new best friend is just a click away. What are you waiting for?
