Banjo is part of the Paws on the Block program and will only be available for private meets; he won’t attend Saturday adoption events. Meet Banjo! He’s nearly 6 months old and half Rottweiler, with a playful spirit that’s as big as his personality. Known for his charming wiggle when he sees women, Banjo brings joy wherever he goes. This happy puppy loves to play, chase toys, and learn new things, always eager to make people laugh. Banjo is crate and potty trained, and he walks nicely on a leash. He gets along well with dogs, although he can be a bit rowdy during playtime. With cats, he might chase, so a dog-savvy feline companion would be ideal. He is best suited for homes with children aged 10 and up. Banjo's training experience comes from the Paws on the Block program, pairing rescue dogs with dedicated handlers at Folsom State Prison. Under this program, he learned commands including "watch" and "recall," while also mastering agility skills. He thrives on structure and enjoys using his brain as much as his energy. While he still exhibits some resource guarding tendencies around high-value items, his desire to please makes him a promising candidate for further training.
