Hawthorn is an urgent case, currently at risk due to an upper respiratory infection. At 8 years old, he is a Mastiff who needs a loving home as soon as possible to avoid euthanasia. He’s been at the Kern County Animal Services shelter since June 15, 2026, and time is of the essence for him. With a coat that's a mix of brindle, black, and brown, Hawthorn has a short hair texture that complements his medium-sized frame. Though he is not yet house trained, there's a lot to love about this senior gentleman. His previous life has been challenging, and now he truly deserves a warm and nurturing environment. The Companion Animal Protection Society, located in Thousand Oaks, is working hard to help him find a safe haven.
