About Bertha
Bertha is a big, strong dog with a loyal heart, but you have to earn it. Once she trusts you, she's all ināsteady, loving, and ready to be a genuine companion. Bertha knows how to enjoy the quiet stuff: napping in cool grass or lounging under a tree. Take her on a hike or let her relax in the shadeāshe makes the most of simple pleasures, and so will you. Sheās a fetch fanatic; youāll get tired before she does, but sheāll always bring the toy right back and wait her turn every time. Sheās smart, obedient, and focused, picking up commands like sit and lie down no problem. On walks, Bertha is alert, matching the energy around her. Sheās reactive to dogs and bikes, so calmer side streets are her speed, with plenty of time to sniff and observe the world. Sheās also a pro in the car, always cool getting in and out. Bertha has spent a lot of time in the shelter and sees most people as temporary. She takes her time to let her guard downābut when she does, she gives real companionship in return. She must be the only animal in the house and needs an owner who takes the time and respects boundaries, especially around other dogs. If you want a dog whoāll reward your dedication with trust and loyalty, youāll get just that. Click apply to start the adoption process.
