About Padme URGENT
Padme is a young 2-year-old female Border Collie / Mastiff mix in urgent need of a home. Currently at the Kern County Animal Services in Bakersfield, she has been there since June 12, 2026, and is now at risk of euthanasia due to an upper respiratory infection. This sweet girl needs a loving home as soon as possible. Despite her current illness, Padme has a lot of love to give. She is friendly but still adjusting to her environment, so she isn't yet house trained. As a medium-sized dog with a short coat, she’s not only beautiful with her striking black and cream colors, but she has plenty of potential for companionship and play. The Companion Animal Protection Society (CAPS) is working hard to find homes for at-risk dogs like Padme. If you're interested in offering her a future filled with love and security, please reach out to CAPS today. Adopting Padme means saving a life. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
