Meet Rich! Known affectionately as Richie or Richard, he’s the ultimate good boy. During walks, he maintains a loose leash and responds well to commands like sit and stay, especially with a few treats and kind words. We believe he's a Border Collie/English Lab mix, and at about 50-55 lbs, he embodies the intelligence of both breeds, which fits perfectly since he’s roughly 1.5 years old. Richie thrives on adventure. He recalls flawlessly on hikes and runs alongside bikes with impressive skill. A natural explorer, he’s always eager for the next outing. Social and playful, he has never met a dog he didn’t want to befriend. Whether he’s wrestling with his 50-pound Pit Bull foster sister or adapting his play style for smaller dogs, he’s all about fun. His favorite game includes being chased, often culminating in a comical somersault when he gets caught. Aggression is simply out of his nature. This intelligent and eager-to-learn pup will excel with some consistent training. He trots into his kennel when asked and is currently working on adjusting to extended time in it. Regular exercise and mental challenges are essential for him. Without adequate stimulation, he might find creative ways to entertain himself, like digging. Offer him adventures and puzzles, and he will truly shine. Richie has lived harmoniously with a hands-on three-year-old, showing patience and gentleness at every interaction.
