About Peanut
Meet Peanut! At just 1.5 years old and weighing 16 pounds, Peanut is a charming Dachshund mix with plenty of love to give. She may be a bit skittish at first, but with time, patience, and kindness, her true personality shines. Peanut adores cuddling; when she trusts you, she’ll snuggle right into your arms, soaking up all the affection you can offer. Her playful side comes out with toys, as she happily tosses them around and creates her own fun. Peanut is on a journey to build her confidence. She's learning leash manners, practicing potty training, and getting comfortable in her kennel. While new experiences like doorways can be daunting, she makes steady progress day by day. She thrives best with patient humans nearby, as she feels safest when she can see you close by. Peanut is dog-friendly and especially benefits from the company of confident dogs who can help instill bravery in her. She’s also friendly with cats! However, due to her timid nature, she’ll thrive best in a home with gentle children who respect her space. If you’re seeking a loyal companion who will blossom with love, Peanut could be your perfect match. With the right encouragement and an abundance of cuddles, she’ll repay your kindness with sweetness and devotion. —Peanut is ready to find her safe, loving forever home—could it be with you? Her adoption fee covers a full veterinary exam, spay, prepaid microchip, deworming, rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), distemper combo vaccines appropriate for her age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (if over 6 months), and flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
