About Rover
Meet Rover! For over three weeks, Rover was the talk of a small town. This handsome three-year-old German Shepherd kept his distance while kind people tried to help him. It wasn't until one patient sheriff earned his trust that Rover finally decided to stop running, changing his life forever. Since joining the Serendipity pack, Rover has charmed everyone he meets, from volunteers to the sheriff's department that assisted in his rescue. It's hard not to fall for this sweet, gentle soul. Rover is remarkably loving and grateful for attention. He was a calm companion during a three-hour transport, showcasing his easygoing nature. As a housebroken dog, he gets along well with others and has adapted to rescue life with grace. At the veterinary clinic, he watched the resident cats with interest yet remained calm, indicating he may adapt well to living with them, given some proper introductions. While Rover appears a bit rough around the edges, being about 15 pounds underweight with a recovering coat, he is on a journey to regain his health. He currently weighs 68 pounds and should weigh around 85 pounds. As he gains weight gradually, he will also be neutered. Rover's remarkable resilience shines through. Despite his past, he trusts people and is ready to find a loyal best friend who will enjoy walks, road trips, or simply curling up nearby. He held on to his faith in humanity, and now we’re eager to show him that we won’t give up on him, either. Ready to make a difference in Rover's life? Apply today!
