He’s been lovingly cared for at the Pima Animal Care Center in Tucson, AZ.

Rigo is a remarkable young Catahoula Leopard Dog who is ready to brighten the lives of those around him. Despite being deaf and blind, he approaches each day with enthusiasm and joy, showing a playful spirit that is infectious. His recent foster experience highlighted his special personality—he is sweet, silly, and eager to learn. Rigo has already mastered how to use his attached leash to navigate his surroundings and is picking up on commands like "sit" quickly. He finds ways to entertain himself and loves cuddling, often napping in a cozy hold like a baby. His journey with other dogs has been positive, and Rigo has demonstrated he can get along with them, showcasing his ability to adapt and respond to corrections. While he will need specialized training focused on touch cues, he’s shown exceptional intelligence and a willingness to engage. Thanks to a volunteer trainer, Rigo will continue receiving free training after adoption. His perfect match will be a dedicated and loving family ready to embrace the joy and light he brings.
