About Piper

Meet Piper, a 9-year-old Chihuahua and Jack Russell Terrier mix weighing just 5 pounds. After facing significant change when her owner lost their home in a fire, she’s now seeking a loving companion to share her life with. Although Piper may initially seem shy, her sweet personality truly shines once she feels safe. She loves attention, often curling up next to her favorite person or basking in the sunshine during cozy naps. Piper enjoys life’s simple pleasures like leisurely neighborhood walks, car rides, and even pup cups. Having lived with other animals, Piper has shown she can do well with cats and small dogs when given proper introductions. She’s best suited for a home with older children who can respect her gentle nature. While she’s adjusting to her new shelter environment, including crate training, she might need some help with potty training and may experience mild separation anxiety. Piper has much love to give and is hoping for a patient family who can provide the comfort and security she deserves in her golden years. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
