Jewels is a young Australian Shepherd and Heeler mix who currently resides in a busy foster home in San Antonio. She's about two years old and weighs roughly 40 pounds. After a successful recovery from a fractured femur, Jewels is thriving and ready for a new adventure, preferably in the Pacific Northwest. She's friendly with both dogs and cats, enjoying their company, and she's done well around children. Being a mix of two working breeds, Jewels is very intelligent and loves outdoor exploration. A fenced yard is essential for her, as she enjoys her daily outdoor activities. She thrives on having a job to do, so preparing her for activities is a must. Jewels is crate trained and house trained, showing a calm energy, often found lounging in the yard while observing the squirrels. Currently, Jewels lives with other pets and would adapt well to a peaceful home with a family that can provide her with some guidance.
