About Amelia
Meet Amelia, or Mia as we lovingly call her. This approximately 1-year-old female American Staffordshire Terrier mix is a true princess ready to light up your life. Weighing in at a perfect 43 pounds, she arrived with us from the Mahoning County Dog Pound as a stray, leaving us puzzled as to why anyone would give up such a gem. Mia is gentle, quiet, and an extraordinary cuddler who simply wants to be by your side. She behaves well on a leash and is a great car companion, showcasing her calm nature. Mia has not shown any reactivity to other dogs, making her an excellent candidate for a canine companion after a meet and greet. While we haven't seen her with cats, we're open to exploring that possibility. Her demeanor suggests she could handle slightly older kids, provided they’re not too rambunctious. Mia is the ideal balance of playfulness by day and snuggles by night. She's almost out of her puppy stage but still embodies the joyful spirit of one. Come meet Mia, and you will see just how exceptional she truly is. She will be ready to go home in about 7-10 days after finishing her medical protocol. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and let's get started.
