About Amaya

Meet Amaya. Amaya is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside: a gentle, soulful shepherd mix with the softest chocolate brown eyes that tell a story of resilience, love, and quiet strength. At just 1 year and 8 months old and around 35 lbs, Amaya has already been through so much. She was found at a rural pound, pregnant and in need of help, when RARE stepped in to give her the chance she deserved. Not long after, she gave birth to her seven puppies, the Explorer Litter, and proved to be the most devoted, loving mama. Now that her puppies are growing up, it's finally Amaya's turn to be cared for, cherished, and chosen. Amaya is sweet and gentle, affectionate, and happiest close to her people. She may be a little shy at first, but once she feels safe, her loving personality truly shines. Amaya forms deep bonds and finds comfort simply being near her person, whether that's lounging nearby or soaking up gentle affection. After raising her babies and overcoming such a tough start, Amaya deserves a life full of softness, safety, and unconditional love. If you're looking for a deeply loyal companion with a beautiful soul, Amaya is waiting for you. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
