About Agnes
Agnes is one of those dogs who makes a home feel warmer. She’s tremendously sweet and will happily trot over to show off her beloved stuffed toys—she carries them everywhere, and it’s hard not to smile when you see it. Agnes usually gets along well with other dogs, although she can be leash reactive and needs slow, appropriate introductions, especially off leash. She generally likes most dogs but has shown some discomfort with large, white dogs due to a bad experience; this is something adopters can discuss in detail. She’s always eager to be around people, soaking up attention and company more than anything else. Agnes has been through a lot, including a cancerous tumor removal on her leg. The surgery didn’t get perfect margins, but specialists have agreed her risk of regrowth or spread is low; ongoing checkups will be covered by Bonaparte’s Retreat, along with related medical costs if future care is needed. She’s also completed heartworm treatment and bounced back strong. Holiday road trips and time in foster care have shown she’s relaxed and easy to have around. Agnes would love a stable home and deserves a soft landing after what she’s faced. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
