This handsome boy has already come a long way. When Rocco was rescued outdoors, he was covered in painful mats and was quite fearful. Now that he's safe in foster, his sweet personality is beginning to shine through. Rocco can be a little timid to start. Give him a little patience, and you'll be rewarded with a gentle companion who enjoys being petted and spending time near his trusted humans. He primarily spends his days watching the birds out the window and getting lots of pets from his people. His long luscious fur does need to be brushed regularly, which he enjoys! He can be somewhat playful at times, particularly with string toys, but overall is a lower energy guy compared to some of the more outgoing cattens his age. Because Rocco gains confidence from other cats, he must be adopted with a feline friend or go to a home that already has a friendly cat waiting to welcome him. Having a kitty companion helps him feel secure and brings out the best in his personality. Rocco has seen some dogs during his time in foster and doesn't seem too bothered by them so could also live with calm canine friends (with proper introductions). Young kids might be a bit too much for him but he could go to a home with older, cat saavy children. Rocco is estimated to be about nine months old. He has been neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, flea treated, microchipped, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. **Please note: Rocco came from an area with a few other cats, where one cat tested positive for FeLV. Rocco tested FeLV- on IDEXX snap testing here at TCR, but to be extra cautious, his future adopters may want to consider having him retested in the future, and/or having any resident cats FeLV vaccinated.
