Sweet, affectionate, and devoted to his people, he loves being close to those he trusts. Winston is both house-trained and crate-trained, although hes such a well-mannered boy that he doesnt require a crate when left alone. An outdoor enthusiast, Winston is always ready for an adventure. The moment you grab his leash, he's eager to join you and sometimes even carries it himself! He enjoys long walks, spending time in the yard, playing fetch, and relaxing with his favorite toys. Like many strong-willed dogs, Winston takes a little time to warm up to new people and situations. He thrives with clear rules, consistency, and confident leadership. While he can be vocal when he wants to make his opinion known, he responds well to firm, fair guidance. When Winston first entered rescue, he displayed some resource-guarding behaviors and a few undesirable habits. Thanks to structure, training, and boundaries in his foster home, those behaviors have significantly improved and are now rarely seen.
