Meet Elsie! This sweet girl is just 7 months old and was on the euthanasia list before she found her way to us. Sadly, Elsie faces black dog syndrome, a reality where wonderful black dogs often get overlooked. Resembling a Flat-Coated Retriever, Elsie has thrived after being co-kenneled with two other dogs at the shelter. She's been introduced to several dogs since leaving and has done exceptionally well, demonstrating her playful nature. Like many puppies, she can be a bit excited and playful at times, but she quickly adjusts when given gentle correction. One of her favorite activities is fetch. Toss her a ball, and she’s in her element! While she loves to play, Elsie also knows how to take breaks and soak up affection in between. Being only 7 months old, she’s still learning about the world and would benefit from someone committed to continuing her training. The bright side? She's incredibly sweet, smart, and eager to learn.
