Meet Bear! Bear is a 5-year-old Great Pyrenees with a personality as big as his heart. Rescued by local police, he made his way to our shelter after being found with porcupine quills embedded in his face. Thanks to the amazing care he received from the volunteers at Laurel Highlands Animal Health, Bear has fully recovered and is now ready to find a loving home. With a fluffy white coat and gentle demeanor, he’s more teddy bear than grizzly. Bear has a friendly and affectionate nature that wins over everyone he meets. Whether it’s enjoying pets, belly rubs, or just lounging by your side, Bear thrives on human companionship. While he loves people, Bear can be selective with other dogs, so a meet-and-greet is essential for potential canine housemates. We're not sure how he feels about cats, but we can accommodate a cat test if necessary. Bear is eager to leave his past behind and start a new chapter with a family who will adore him as much as he adores them.
