Oakie is a sweet and gentle 3-year-old Border Collie/Poodle mix weighing 14.5 lbs, with a heart full of love to give. He is fully potty trained, well-mannered, and wonderfully obedient--making him an easy addition to the right home. Oakie has a refined taste when it comes to food--he's not a fan of traditional kibble, but he absolutely loves chicken, beef, and salmon. Mealtime is definitely one of his favorite moments! This little guy is a calm and devoted companion who prefers the company of adults. While he can coexist peacefully with children, he's not the playful type and instead enjoys quietly staying close to his favorite human. Oakie would be happiest in a home where he can relax beside you--whether that's lounging on a cozy sofa or simply keeping you company throughout the day. Oakie is currently building his confidence. Sudden noises or quick movements can make him a bit nervous, but with patience, understanding, and a loving environment, he continues to grow more trusting every day. He is also learning to feel more comfortable riding in the car. He walks nicely on a leash and can also be trusted off-leash without running away, staying close to his person. Despite his sensitivities, Oakie is incredibly affectionate and truly eager to both give and receive lots of love.
