From Luckys foster mom : Let me tell you about this sweet dog. When I say sweet, I truly mean it. He is one of the kindest, most tolerant dogs I have ever met. He has been introduced to coworkers, children, friends, and countless new people, and he approaches every interaction with the same calm, gentle demeanor. Everyone wants to pet him, and he happily accepts the attention without jumping, barking, or demanding more. He simply leans into a hand and enjoys the affection. He lives peacefully with another older dog and has shown remarkable respect and good manners. He waits patiently at mealtimes, gives other dogs their space, and has never shown a hint of aggression. If there were a report card category for gets along with others, he would earn an A+. He is affectionate without being needy. He will quietly walk over and stand beside you, content just to be near his people. He comes when called, learns quickly, and enjoys learning new things. He has even mastered catching popcorn and is surprisingly coordinated! Throughout his heartworm treatment, he has been an absolute gentleman. Every veterinarian, technician, and staff member who has worked with him comments on how calm and cooperative he is. Despite the discomfort of treatment, he has handled everything with quiet strength and grace. He walks beautifully on a leash and follows guidance easily. Someone clearly spent time teaching him good manners because he behaves like a true gentleman wherever he goes. At night, he settles peacefully on his dog bed and sleeps through the night. In the morning, he greets you with quiet affection, gently placing his head in your lap for pets. He enjoys being brushed, takes treats politely, rides wonderfully in the car, and is always ready for the next adventure. There is something incredibly special about him. He has a gentle, accepting spirit and a quiet resilience that is impossible not to admire. While he has a healthy prey drive and would love more exercise once his heartworm recovery is complete, he is currently content with the slower pace required during treatment. He will need dental care in the future, but right now the focus has been on completing his heartworm treatment successfully, which he has done remarkably well. It is impossible not to fall in love with this dog. He is handsome, gentle, courageous, and full of quiet strength. His shiny black coat, soulful eyes, and calm nature make him truly unforgettable. Most of all, he deserves a family who will appreciate his sweet spirit, admire his resilience, and give him the love and security he has earned. He has so much love to give and will make an incredibly loyal companion for the lucky person who welcomes him home. Email infio@goldenhuggs.org for more information
