At just 11 months old and around 25 lbs, Romeo is a small-boned, athletic, long-legged, perfectly sized companion who fits easily into almost any home. His short, easy-care coat and those adorable ears (that stand up and then flop over when hes curious) make him even more irresistible. What's a Feist? Feists are known for being small, smart, people-oriented dogs with big hearts. Theyre affectionate, loyal, gentle in the home, playful outside, and they bond deeply with their person. They're active without being hyper, alert without being loud, and they love being part of a family. Romeo has all of these wonderful traits. Romeo's story: Romeo has lived in a shelter kennel for almost his entire life since he was a 4 months old. Despite that, he is one of the happiest, most sociable dogs youll ever meet. He loves people, loves other dogs, and loves being included in whatever you're doing. He's a soft, sensitive soul who just wants to feel safe and loved. House habits: Romeo goes outside to do his business through a pet door and has done wonderfully with this routine. He knows to potty outside, and that is half the battle in housetraining. He's smart, observant, and catches on quickly. Because he spent nearly his whole life in a kennel, crating is not allowed for him. If he needs to be safely contained when you leave, a baby gate in a doorway works perfectly. He does very well with this setup. He does not chew, and he is a good boy. Dogfriendly? Absolutely. Romeo plays beautifully with other dogs. He's gentle, respectful, and always waits his turn. He reads other dogs well and joins in when invited. He's the kind of easygoing companion other dogs feel comfortable around.
