SPECIFICS Purebred Persian, shaded silver, green eyes, 8 years-old, spayed female, 4 lbs., with claws. Cat friendly: yes, with a cat that has a complimentary personality or adopt one of the Persian friends that came with her. Dog friendly: probably with appropriate introductions to a dog that would ignore Kid friendly: 13 yrs+, cat savvy and respectful Special needs: None GETTING TO KNOW ME Ambrosia fancies herself Queen of the Manor and has an animated personality. She is currently growing out of her spring lion-cut and looks like a teddy bear. Her coat is a lovely silver and white and set off by green eyes. She is a Persian, so eye and coat care is mandatory. Ambrosia is an extrovert, and will seek out human affection when she wants it, but the tiny diva will protest if you aren't respectful of her wishes. She loves wand toys and exploring. IDEAL HOME Ambrosia needs a home that is stable, interactive, respectful of her boundaries and cautious of her size. This girl is tiny. Being carried around a lot isn't her jam, and at this point prefers to rest near or against people. Ambrosia would thrive with an attentive family who's home regularly and willing to indulge her daily shenanigans. She would be fine with a complementary feline companion but would be okay as a single too(if you'd like a pair, she has her roomie Persian sisters). A respectful dog and kid over 13yrs would be fine too. Like all cats, her wish list includes cat trees near windows for bird-watching and cozy spots to lounge with her favorite humans. She's an opinionated and spunky girl who loves adventure. She'd likely be great in a backpack, stroller, or maybe a mini harness with a leash. You'll always need to keep her safety in mind with her very small size. As with any new cat, starting off in a safe space with plenty of time to acclimate is critical. She really loves her breakfast and dinner, which consists of canned 4Health pate(similar to Wellness Pate), and currently loves the fresh and clean water from her ceramic water fountain. Ambrosia is perfect with her open top which accommodates her fluff. CARE REQUIREMENTS *Feeding: 4Health pate or similar with transition. *Litter: Open-style box with unscented clumping litter (one box per cat, plus one extra) currently using Worlds Best(she has used this litter her entire life so we wouldn't recommend a heavy clay litter). *Grooming: Daily eye maintenance with Eye Envy and combing once a week with a monthly nail trim. She is a challenge with nail trims and might require the skill of a vey tech until she is comfortable with her new family. Strong arming her isn't an option, she will get very upset and roll. Fear Free interactions are best! TRANSITION TIPS Ambrosia needs a patient family who understands that settling in takes time. Ambrosia will absolutely need to start out in a "base camp" room in her new home, while she becomes familiar and comfortable with her new people and other pets, and she will let you know when she's ready to explore more of the home. VETTING PROVIDED Exam, spayed, tested negative for FELV/FIV & heartworm, FVRCP and rabies vaccinated, Nares surgery, dental and is microchipped. Medical Records are supplied at adoption completion.
