About Vito

Meet Vito! Vito is a handsome approximately 3-year-old Grey and White Domestic Medium Hair with a quiet charm and a gentle heart. He came to our rescue after being transferred from animal control, and like many cats who have experienced change, he is still learning that the world can be a safe and comforting place. Vito is a sweet and affectionate boy once he feels secure, but he needs a calm, patient home where he can take his time to come out of his shell. He is the kind of cat who will quietly observe at first, then slowly begin to seek out trust, comfort, and connection on his own terms. He has tested positive for FeLV and will be retested soon. In the meantime, Vito is looking for a peaceful environment where he can relax and feel safe. Because of his shy nature, Vito would do best as the only pet in the home and in an adult-only household with no children. He thrives best in quiet surroundings where he wont feel overwhelmed and can build confidence at his own pace. With patience and love, Vito has all the makings of a deeply loyal and rewarding companion for someone willing to give him the time he needs. Vito has had all age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dewormed, microchipped, received monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention, tested negative for FeLV, and has been altered. We recommend having a fecal test rechecked within 48 hours of adoption, which is covered by us. If they test positive for any parasites, we will provide the dewormer recommended by your veterinarian at no additional cost. Adoption Fee: $175 Adopters will receive copies of their microchip registration information, adoption contract, medical records, and a handout about Upper Respiratory Infections (URI) in cats. The microchip registration is lifelong, and we will register it for you before adoption. Vito is doing great with litter box use. We recommend starting them in a smaller room with a litter box and gradually introducing them to the rest of the home. Slow introductions to existing pets are always encouraged to ensure a successful transition. We will provide food to help with the transition to their new home and are happy to answer any questions after adoption. While we would love for you to continue veterinary care with us at Pawsitive Care, you are welcome to use the veterinarian of your choice. If you think Vito would complete your family, please contact us at pawsitivecausemi@gmail.com. Pawsitive Cause Non-Profit Animal Rescue is a no-kill, foster-based rescue in Holly, Michigan. Our animals live in foster homes where they are treated like family while they wait for their forever homes. Adoption requires an approved application (which can be found on our Facebook page) and meet-and-greet. We strive to match each animal with the best possible home.
