Meet Frankie! Frankie is a striking approximately 2-year-old male neutered Orange Domestic Medium Hair with a big personality and an even bigger comeback story. When he first came into our care, he was in very rough shapemissing most of his fur, severely infested with fleas, and dangerously underweight. With time, patience, and consistent medical care, Frankie has completely turned the corner and is now thriving. He has been on continuous flea prevention, treated for parasites, and started on steroids to help support his fur regrowth. Frankie is now happily gaining weight, growing back his beautiful coat, and enjoying the good life he always deserved. He may require ongoing or occasional medical support in the future as he continues his recovery journey, but he is well on his way. Personality-wise, Frankie is nothing short of hilarious. He is full of energy and joydoing zoomies, batting around toys, and climbing his cat tree like it is his full-time job. He is playful, entertaining, and guaranteed to keep you smiling. Socially, Frankie does okay with other cats but can be a bit of a bully, so a confident but tolerant feline companion would be best. He does not do well with dogs. He would, however, enjoy a home with playful, respectful children who can match his fun energy while still giving him space when needed. Frankie has come so far from his difficult beginnings and is now ready for a home that will celebrate his goofy personality and continue supporting his amazing transformation. Frankie has had all age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dewormed, microchipped, received monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention, tested negative for FeLV, and has been altered. We recommend having a fecal test rechecked within 48 hours of adoption, which is covered by us. If they test positive for any parasites, we will provide the dewormer recommended by your veterinarian at no additional cost. Adoption Fee: $175 Adopters will receive copies of their microchip registration information, adoption contract, medical records, and a handout about Upper Respiratory Infections (URI) in cats. The microchip registration is lifelong, and we will register it for you before adoption. Frankie is doing great with litter box use. We recommend starting them in a smaller room with a litter box and gradually introducing them to the rest of the home. Slow introductions to existing pets are always encouraged to ensure a successful transition. We will provide food to help with the transition to their new home and are happy to answer any questions after adoption. While we would love for you to continue veterinary care with us at Pawsitive Care, you are welcome to use the veterinarian of your choice. If you think Frankie would complete your family, please contact us at pawsitivecausemi@gmail.com. Pawsitive Cause Non-Profit Animal Rescue is a no-kill, foster-based rescue in Holly, Michigan. Our animals live in foster homes where they are treated like family while they wait for their forever homes. Adoption requires an approved application (which can be found on our Facebook page) and meet-and-greet. We strive to match each animal with the best possible home.
